Coronavirus/Covid19 & Your Appointment with Teresa in the Fraser Valley (updated January 2021)

While the professional, caring and mindful level of your sessions won't change, you will notice that some practices, aimed at enhancing your safety and mine, will be in place. I really appreciated your cooperation and understanding through your sessions in 2020! 2021 brings a couple of changes in enhanced Infection Control Protocols

The steps that I will take include:- An air purifier with hepa filter will be operating in the room through the entire day.
- For each client I will be wearing a medical/surgical mask and an apron over my clothes. The apron and mask will be changed between each client - I will be implementing increased space between clients to 30 minutes instead of 15. During that time all touchable surfaces will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between each client. I am using Botanical Decon30 by Benefect and approved by Health Canada. -Oil for your sessions will be in an individualized container (I don't use one bottle for everyone). Before the next use the container is washed with hot soapy water. The foot lotion bottle and spinal touch foot board will be cleaned and disinfected between each client. - While you supply your own linens, any that I do use will be stored safely, and completely changed between each session. Pillows have been fitted with vinyl covers beneath the pillow cases, the table has a vinyl cover between the bed warmer and bottom sheet. Vinyl covers are cleaned and disinfected between each client. - I follow Infection Control protocols for washing my hands throughout the day and this includes before and after donning PPE, before and after your session, after removing used linens from the massage table, before putting clean linen on. |
What I'm asking of you in preparation for your health session:* Yes, you must wear a mask. Your clean mask must remain on throughout the time you are in the treatment space and throughout your session. If you have problems breathing with the mask on when face down there are options. * 24 hours before your appointment I will be contacting you to do a Covid 19 pre-screening for any possible risks. Once you arrive for your appointment the pre-screening will happen again and I will also ask you to sign a waiver. If you develop any symptoms and need to cancel your appointment there will be no charge for late cancellation *To maintain safe distancing between clients I ask that you arrive no earlier than 5 minutes prior to your appointment. *When you arrive please use the hand sanitizer provided and again after your session. *Please try to keep to a minimum any surfaces that you touch in the treatment space. * Please ensure that the linens you bring for your session are freshly laundered and in a bag that is large enough to fully enclose them. After your session please don't remove the linens. Once you are dressed I will come in to safely remove the linens and return them to your bag. They should be washed once you return home. * The Massage Table will have a warmer on it that has a washable cover between it and the bottom sheet. The room will be heated but will also be ventilated to the open air for the 30 minutes in between each appointment. I have also noticed that the air purifier lowers the temperature in the room slightly. If you think you will need a blanket please bring one. I will have some flannel or fleece throws available. if you become cold unexpectedly during your session please let me know. *Payments: There will be a box in the space to slip your cash or cheques into safely. Please ensure that you have the correct amount as change will not be provided. While cash or check is preferred as payment you may also send an etransfer. If you require a receipt one will be emailed to you upon my return to Calgary (please let me know) |
