Emotions are a natural and human way of expression. And you are human before you put on any of the other roles you have in this life. Emotions are also an energy that you can suppress or release.
Unfortunately, many are encouraged to hide their tears, that anger is bad, to laugh only when appropriate... Your friends and family may not feel comfortable with your expression of emotions, or you may not feel safe in sharing openly. I think society as a whole, teaches us to suppress this natural energy. This is not normal. Over many years of providing holistic therapies I have witnessed clients release excess or suppressed anxiety and energy in many ways. The most common being tears and or body twitches or shudders. Twitches may be happening in a single body part (for myself it's usually my left leg that twitches), or the entire body. Tears may be one, or two, or many. The number of times clients have apologized for this is way more than I can count. What I try to impress upon them is just how normal this is. It is also an honour to have their trust, that they feel relaxed and safe enough in my space to release suppressed energy. If energy has come up for you to release its' also important to completely let it go. To not seek it out to recapture afterwards. Your mind is very protective of you. Nothing will come up for release that your mind and spirit don't feel you are ready for. You are often way more powerful than you've been led to believe. Both deeply relaxing, they create space for you to check in and release that which is no longer needed, whether consciously or unconsciously.
