Spring is the season associated with new beginnings, new growth, lighter and warmer days, renewal…A time when nature shifts from dormancy to growth. If all of this is happening in nature, to every plant and animal, what is happening for you? Do you feel a lightness in your being as the days become brighter? An increased sense of energy? Take a breath (preferably outside in the spring air) and for just a few moments check in to what is stirring inside you. Embracing the energy that is around you, that is Spring, opens the door to look inside, take a personal inventory of mind, body and spirit, and set new intentions for growth. Reiki provides beautiful opportunities for self-reflection and personal growth. In that quiet, safe and relaxing space of a Reiki session your being shifts into deeper awareness. Your busy mind can become quieter, your body is still and there is nothing else to do but just be. Within that peaceful space, spiritual awakening is given opportunity to come forward, shifting you to a higher consciousness that is more in alignment with your purpose. With gentle focus it becomes much easier to clarify your goals and set intentions to meet them. Anything is possible when mind, body and spirit are aligned in moving you towards your highest good. Sometimes you just need a time out and focused loving energy to shine the light on it. Reiki helps to do that. I often take advantage of the Spring energy to strengthen the relationship with my Sacred self. She can often be put on the back burner of busyness with work and school. Revisiting the Sacred Self course (more information here) and using the inspiring and creative tools, often empowers my journey through the rest of the year. Reinforcing commitment to self, goals and personal growth does not have to be difficult or hard work, it often takes some practice though. Practice to make it more of a habit than a once a year event. One of the benefits of a Reiki session is that you can set your intention for the session. That intention could be to keep self-reflection, growth, empowerment and light a habit through the rest of the year.
