Here is the part 2 that was promised in the January Enewsletter to my blog about Reiki, Intention Setting & the New Year. Setting intention doesn't have to be a New Years event but can happen at any time. The reason that I focused on the New Year was because of Mercury being retrograde at the start of 2023...a perfect time for letting go! This is what is important from the previous blog: Reiki = Universal Life Force Energy Intentions = what you consciously intend to accomplish or manifest into your life. What you plan to create with energy and attention. All Universal action begins with your intention. Usually a "fly by the seat of my pants" person through each year, I made a specific decision to move forward in 2023 with more focus. I know it is my nature to change plans easily but there were a number of things that I didn't do in 2022 and wanted to make sure I focused on those. So my first step was to list what my intentions were for 2023, what I wanted to manifest. My list included
The first part of the calendar that was marked off was when I would stop seeing clients and head to Thailand to be with my family for Christmas, or be available for if they come here. YAY putting this desire first!! Next came days off to spend with family and that starts next week with a few days in Vancouver that I really look forward to. My days off were the first to be marked throughout the year. Days off also give my body time to reset in between client days. My work is physically demanding and I know that a client will receive a much better session if I have taken the time to rest and reset. Time in nature was planned in coordination with enough time to see clients in both Calgary and Chilliwack. For Spring, Summer and Fall trips to Calgary I drive. While I see a lot of nature on those trips, I don't really stop enough to enjoy it. So looking at my trips to Calgary I wanted to add extra days to stop and camp on the way back, ensuring that I had a full week in Calgary to see clients and enough days for Chilliwack clients sessions as well. On that note please meet Avandra After many months of working towards this manifestation Avandra (named for the Norse Goddess of Travel, Adventure and Freedom) finally came into my life in November. While there is a little work to do with her before Spring, Avandra is my ride to and from Calgary with days of camping and exploring in between. The freedom to stop where ever the mood of nature takes me is exciting, and I am looking forward to my travels. Growing my business and teaching more are ongoing projects throughout the year and they now have an additional 3 days each month devoted to both tasks. I have gained a lot of knowledge in my past 29 years in the holistic field and created a lot of workshops. Having the time to film and put them up online so that more can benefit from what I've learned is a task of joy, I really do love to share. Once the calendar was created and written out I sent Reiki to the year to help me to manifest what is for my highest good. I know that things may change through the year but having the outline felt really good. I think this may become a habit that overrides flying by the seat of my pants.
