I completed Reiki Level One 34 years ago my life changed. It was during this class that my Reiki Master encouraged us to take time every day to self-treat. It was really wise advice that I share with students who take my classes. The most important person to share Reiki with is yourself. That is why so much time is spent with this in the first part of Reiki Level 1 classes. Just as a Reiki session brings unconditional love and healing to those you share it with, self treatment with Reiki brings that to you. A space of peace and energy balance within, ease of pain and anxiety, increased self love and release of negativity…what incredible gifts.

2024 marks 30 years since I began my journey as a Reiki Master/Teacher. I feel really fortunate to have received the traditional Usui Reiki training that I did and continue to embrace a traditional approach to teaching. Through the years I've had the honour of sharing those teachings with many students of Reiki.
2024 marks 30 years since I began teaching Reiki. I had been in the practice for a few years prior to completing my Reiki Master/Teacher training in late 1993. It has been an amazing journey from two perspectives.
As both a Reiki practitioner and teacher I am often asked about Reiki. This short clip will introduce you to Reiki, what it is, what to expect during a session and what to expect from classes. Below the video are links to more information. REIKI is an ancient Japanese healing technique My connection with Reiki, from when I received my first session, through learning the practice of Reiki, sharing sessions with others, and also teaching, has been a journey filled with twists and turns and a lot of lessons. Not all of it easy, but I think those experiences have made me a better teacher and practitioner. Reiki is about being open to and allowing yourself to receive a loving and healing energy. Deep seated self-esteem issues can raise their ugly heads as to whether or not we are worthy or deserving of receiving. This negative self-judgement is completely dissolved as we bask in the vibrations of Reiki's beautiful energy. The trees teach us how to let go During the months of September the trees are a shining example of letting go. The leaves they've grown through Spring and Summer change colours as they begin to die and then drop from the branches. The tree becomes bare, only to begin the cycle again the following Spring. There's no thought to it, there is just no more need of these leaves and so the tree simply lets them go. We often marvel at nature as her colours turn to the reds, oranges and browns of Fall. The crunch of leaves beneath our shoes or jumping in piles of leaves that have fallen bring joy. I think though we often don't make a connection with the lesson the trees are sharing with us in the art of letting go. Holistic Sessions & Your Heart Holistic Health sessions such as Craniosacral Therapy, Massage, Reflexology and Reiki are beneficial to your heart health in a variety of ways. They often reset the body, mind and spirit to a space of more harmonious physical and emotional balance. Each modality contributes in its own way. REIKI is an ancient Japanese healing technique that works with your energy or, universal life force. This beautiful modality focuses on harmonizing and balancing your Mindy, Body & Spirit. Reiki is equivalent to allowing unconditional love to flow through you, and I'm not sure what else could be healthier for your heart than that. Exploring the different levels of Reiki can take you through an amazing journey of self discovery. While a healing technique to share with others, Reiki is also a beneficial tool in healing ourselves emotionally, physically and spiritually. I always ask Reiki students whether they find it easier to feel the flow of energy when giving themselves a session or when sharing with another...the answer is always when they share with others. Why is that? |
