I completed Reiki Level One 34 years ago my life changed. It was during this class that my Reiki Master encouraged us to take time every day to self-treat. It was really wise advice that I share with students who take my classes. The most important person to share Reiki with is yourself. That is why so much time is spent with this in the first part of Reiki Level 1 classes. Just as a Reiki session brings unconditional love and healing to those you share it with, self treatment with Reiki brings that to you. A space of peace and energy balance within, ease of pain and anxiety, increased self love and release of negativity…what incredible gifts.

In a recent discussion amongst Holistic Practitioners the question was asked “Why do clients come to see you?” “Why do they come back?” After thinking about this I decided that a part of the reason was perhaps, the opportunity to take a “time out” for however long they were on my table. That for an hour or more they could rest in mind, body and spirit, not be “on” and not have to be “doing”. Instead for a short time they could just rest and be. Why do I get this impression? Because the thing I hear from you most often is “I have never felt so relaxed. Ever." Taking “time out” or resting your mind, body and spirit is a crucial part of physical, mental and emotional health. It does not have to be earned. Right from your first appointment with me, and through the ones that follow, I acknowledge that you know your body way better than I do. Actually, you know yourself much better than any other person. Something I will hear from clients often is "I know this sounds weird but it feels like _______________", or "I'm feeling ____________ (anxious, depressed, upset) and I have no reason to", or "I've been told I just have to live with this pain, but I'm not sure I agree with that."
Healing Can Happen Through Relaxation The comment I hear most often from clients, at the end of a Craniosacral Therapy session or Reiki session, is that they have never before felt so deeply and completely relaxed. There is something in the quiet of those two Holistic therapies that nurtures you, mind, body and soul. A woman’s life is naturally cyclical, from birth to death. Hormonal changes throughout your lifetime create an arc of growth, maturity and an eventual end, all of which impact your body, mind and spirit. At different stages of that growth different aspects of the whole woman come to the forefront. Early life is mostly focused on physical growth and as you flow into your later years, the spiritual side can begin to take precedence. Energy shifts constantly flow through all of your years of life. Each stage and each cycle creates the unique and empowered woman that you are today. This theme for the March enewsletter brought many inspiring thoughts! The days are a little brighter and a little longer and as the first day of Spring is within sight, your mind and spirit may feel just a little lighter.
This year (2024) that day happens on March 19th. Allow:
