This year (2024) that day happens on March 19th.

Clients have heard me say this often after their sessions with me, especially after Massage. The main reason behind this "after session" advice is that it extends the benefits of their session after they return home. But there's more...
I am asked this question often. While I can answer you with the basic benefits of the different modalities that I offer, I can't say how you, as an individual, will benefit. You are unique!
2024 marks 30 years since I began teaching Reiki. I had been in the practice for a few years prior to completing my Reiki Master/Teacher training in late 1993. It has been an amazing journey from two perspectives.
As a human being you have a natural instinct to protect yourself from harm. Your brain, through sight and hearing, stays alert to anything or situation that may be harmful. With exposure to stress, trauma and feeling unsafe, your nervous system can become somewhat stuck in protection and survival mode, even if there is no real threat. As a business owner it is really helpful to look back at the numbers from the past year to see where things have improved and where they may need some adjusting. As a Holistic Health Practitioner, while numbers are important, I look more closely at what clients mentioned the most in what was going on for them and which therapies they said were the most helpful. It's always interesting. It also often means that the numbers experiencing those issues are likely higher...you don't tell me everything, neither do you need to. While my previous blog (click here) describes my holistic approach to your sessions, it doesn't include the most important part - meeting you where you are. I understand that each person has their own view of what is holistically healthy for them. What holistic health means to you will be unique to your understanding and how you choose to implement it in your life journey. Your view will be as unique as you are. |
